Coe and Deighton accused of 'shameful' ticket secrecy

Coe and Deighton accused of 'shameful' ticket secrecy and treating public as 'thick' 2012 Olympics:Lord Coe was also accused of running Locog like a closed "oligarchy" and being "obsessed with secrecy". But in a heated exchange, Coe denied the accusations and insisted he would not task any of his staff with helping the Assembly, but ask them instead to prioritise their current job of selling the remaining four million tickets. Both Coe and Deighton refused to agree to an early release of the detailed ticketing information demanded by the Assembly. Assembly members have wanted to know the number of tickets available at each price point at each session for the Games, fearing that the bulk of cheap Olympic tickets and those available to the public have been weighted heavily to the low demand football matches and Paralympic events. "You will not tell us what you know, you are saying everything is changing and is too complicated to understand. Now what you are saying is that we are too thick to understand the job you are doing and you will not give us the information. That is an insult," Conservative member Andrew Boff said.
